Each Spring our Whatcom County Amphibian Monitoring Program launches its Citizen Science Amphibian Count. The project offers free trainings to volunteers on how to identify local amphibians and their egg masses. We train you how to monitor amphibians in the field and then you get to go out and help us gather important data on that status of amphibian populations in Whatcom County. There are other projects you can be involved in, too. If you’re interested, check out this website to learn how to register and help out: www.whatfrogs.org.
